Most survey results will be emailed in a PDF format within 24 hours of the completion of the field inspection with optional copies being sent to brokers or insurance companies. A hard copy can be mailed upon request.
Optional engine or generator oil samples that are sent to a laboratory depend on shipping method and lab work week timing. Typical results are usually emailed back within 24 hours of receipt.
Laboratory samples for trace amounts of metals or chemicals which indicate specific engine wear or malfunction as well as water and fuel.
Surveys include infrared inspection of exterior wetted surfaces for moisture, rigging and structural welds, fittings, rivets as well as engine exhaust, cooling, bearings, injectors, cables, shaft glands plus interior electrical systems and bulkheads.
Payment for surveys are due at the completion of the field work and can be cash, check or pre-payment using PayPal invoicing. All optional cost for oil samples or travel time will be paid at that time.
BUC research values and Sold Boats values are use to determine the value of the vessel. They derive their values from similar boats sold.
